The Institut National du Patrimoine works closely with professionals from the Greek Ministry of Culture and universities. The Erasmus+ mobility programme enables the reciprocal exchange of conservation-restoration students.
Key dates
June 2026: Organisation of two educational conservation projects in Greece, from 7 to 20 June, for 13 conservation students from the INP in partnership with the French School of Athens. In Athens, six students specialising in graphic arts are continuing a project begun last year. On the island of Delos, seven students specialising in fire-based arts are working on archaeological collections (ceramics and metal) through condition assessment, documentation, dust removal and packaging, under the scientific guidance of the French School of Athens and the educational supervision of the INP.
October 2025: Organisation of a seminar on the exchange of best practices: ‘From excavation to exhibition: archaeological sites and museums in Epirus’. This meeting fostered links between Greek stakeholders, French professionals and a representative from the Damascus Museum.
June 2025: A training excavation was conducted at the French School of Athens, focusing on the graphic documents from the Gilliéron collection.
2024: Organisation in Paris of a Franco-Greek seminar on the theme of digital and heritage, as well as on the law governing museums in France.
2022: Organisation in Athens of a workshop on the theme of ‘Rethinking heritage training and professions’, proposed as part of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union and with the support of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
2009: Organisation of a work camp at the Delphi Archaeological Museum, focusing on the assessment of reserves of metal objects and conservation-restoration work.
