Created in 1990, the information resource centre is based in Paris. It is attached to the department of heritage curators and works in close partnership with initial and in-service training courses.
The centre brings together international collections (24,270 items) relating to the cataloguing, acquisition, management, conservation, dissemination and promotion of cultural heritage. It also documents the administrative responsibilities of heritage professionals in charge of cultural services or institutions (professional ethics, public administration, HR and management, etc.), as well as the challenges they face (environmental responsibility and sustainable development, provenance research, looting and restitution of cultural property, social role, innovations, etc.).
Its collection comprises:
- 17,230 books,
- 1,533 articles and offprints,
- 563 chapters from monographs,
- 4,457 training files,
- 182 multimedia documents,
305 periodical titles.
A large proportion of its collection is also included in the catalogue of the University Documentation System (Sudoc). In this capacity, the CRD acts as a requester and/or supplier of documents for its INP users as part of the Sudoc network’s Inter-library Loan (ILL) service.
